I’m a friendly, creative and passionate designer with a thirst to investigate, innovate and develop my knowledge. I am passionate about design and I enjoy creating conceptual and stylistic executions for projects and campaigns. I have created designs for a larger variety of different mediums including print, websites, social campaigns, presentations, brand design and much more. I’ve worked across many different sectors in B2B and B2C. Please feel free to say hello by sending a message and we can have a chat.
From 2016 – 2020 I worked at a design agency in Manchester city centre, where I was Creative Director for two years. I started at the agency as a Senior Designer and within 9 months I was promoted to Head of Creative. I worked in that role for one year before I was promoted to Creative Director.
In this role, I support a team of 10 very talented people, including six designers and four developers who specialise in PowerPoint builds. I was responsible for overseeing the creative process and offering guidance to the creative team. I was responsible for hiring, developing and managing the creative team. I work directly with clients to present work, understand new briefs, build relationships and manage expectations. I lead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines, ensuring all the client’s visuals are consistent with their overall brand and of a high quality.
As a board member, I supported the growth of the business and contribute to the running of the agency.
From 2011 – 2016 I created inspiring, strategic, and innovative ideas for BJL. I started there as a Digital Designer and was promoted to Senior Designer whilst I was here.
My primary responsibilities where to create inspiring, strategic, and innovative ideas for clients that worked in a fully integrated manner, both online and offline. I established conceptual and stylistic execution for projects and campaigns. I worked closely with Brand Teams, Developers, UX Designers, Copywriters and Designers. I effectively visualised and created concepts from the brief to the end product, giving direction on photography style, imagery, typography, and iconography.
From 2006 – 2011 I got my first job as a Graphic Designer at an advertising agency in Manchester called Access Advertising. Over the years at Access I worked on many different sectors including, B2B, B2C, destination marketing, branding and public sector. Whilst I was at Access Advertising, I slowly started to work on more and more online projects and began to move away from traditional media. After a few years my love for digital design grew and I decided this was the direction I wanted to take my career.
